Process Controls Corporation - Burgess-Manning

Burgess-Manning absorptive silencers are used for industrial noise control in atmospheric air intake and pressure discharge applications. These silencers are designed for applications involving rotary lobe, screw, and helical screw type blowers, as well as suction and discharge service for centrifugal and screw compressors and blowers.

Absorptive silencer designs are commonly applied where medium- to high-frequency noise reduction is required with low pressure drop. The design uses an annular gas flow passage lined with perforated tubes and backed by multiple layers of sound-absorbing materials.

Process Controls Corporation - Burgess-Manning Absorptive Silencer

This makes the absorptive silencer a practical option for equipment and process areas where airflow, discharge noise, or pressure-related acoustic concerns need to be addressed as part of a larger industrial system.

Process Controls Corporation (PCC) can assist with Burgess-Manning absorptive silencer selection for blower, compressor, gas turbine, and pressure reduction valve applications. Contact PCC for help reviewing application requirements, connection considerations, accessories, and available silencer options.
