In this configuration, process water is distributed across double-embossed Laser Plates, forming a thin falling film that is cooled before the water is collected and directed to the next process step. The chilled water may be pumped to another heat exchanger, process tank, or product cooling point, and used water may be recirculated back through the chiller when continuous chilled-water operation is required.
