OMEGA Thermo Products Industrial Ice Machines are custom-made industrial refrigeration products designed to produce ice using Omega Laser Plates.
These systems distribute water from the top of the machine, allowing it to flow over the Laser Plates while coolant inside the plates removes heat and freezes the water on both sides of the plate surface. When the ice reaches the documented thickness range, hot gas is introduced into the Laser Plates to release the ice, which then falls into a storage tank and can be transported by screw conveyor to the desired location.

Because OMEGA Industrial Ice Machines are built around Laser Plate technology, they are distinct from falling film chillers, ice banks, immersion plates, clamp-on plates, plate bank assemblies, and tank heating or cooling jackets.
They are designed as custom-fabricated ice production systems with configuration and capacity determined based on cooling requirements and heat transfer calculations when needed.
OMEGA lists custom-made units with production capacities from 1 ton up to more than 100 tons of ice per unit, depending on requirements.
