Process Controls Corporation - Tranter

Tranter SUPERMAX® Shell & Plate Heat Exchangers are compact shell-and-plate heat exchangers designed for demanding heat transfer applications where gasketed plate-and-frame equipment may not be suitable.

The SUPERMAX® design combines plate heat transfer principles with a shell construction, allowing the exchanger to support elevated process conditions and applications involving liquids, gases, steam, and two-phase mixtures when properly specified for the system.

Process Controls Corporation - Tranter SUPERMAX® Shell & Plate Heat Exchangers

This product family is intended for industrial processes that require a heat exchanger configuration distinct from traditional gasketed plate-and-frame exchangers and welded block heat exchangers.

Tranter identifies SUPERMAX® shell-and-plate exchangers for challenging applications involving high or low temperature conditions, pressure requirements, special designs, and flow imbalance situations where shell-side flow may be part of the selection consideration.

For facilities evaluating shell-and-plate heat exchangers, SUPERMAX® provides an option for applications where compact construction, corrugated plate heat transfer surfaces, small hold-up volume, and responsive operation are important engineering factors.

Selection should be based on the specific process media, operating conditions, design requirements, materials, pressure ratings, temperature ratings, and connection details supported by the selected configuration and Tranter documentation.
