Republic offers Dry Rotary Vane Vacuum Pumps designed for applications requiring clean, reliable, oil-free vacuum.

These pumps are well suited for packaging, medical, food processing, electronics, conveying, robotics, printing, vacuum lifting, woodworking, and central vacuum systems.

Republic’s VRT Series dry-running rotary vane vacuum pumps are single-stage, air-cooled, and direct-driven for continuous operation.

Process Controls Corporation - Republic Manufacturing Dry Rotary Vane Vacuum Pumps

These rugged pumps are designed for simple installation, service, and maintenance. Smaller models are supplied with an integrated motor, while larger models are available with or without a motor.

Rotary vane pumps consist of a cylindrical housing (1), eccentrically positioned rotor (2), and numerous free-moving vanes (4). The vanes are placed in slots in the rotor (3). As the rotor turns, centrifugal force pushes the vanes against the cylindrical wall, creating multiple chambers between the rotor, vanes, and cylinder (7).

The chamber volume changes as the rotor turns. From the inlet port (5), the chamber volume increases and then decreases toward the outlet port (6). As air enters the inlet port and the chamber enlarges, the vanes create a vacuum. As the air moves through the chamber and becomes compressed, it is discharged through the outlet port (6).
