EKATO FD/KD/HWL-A Compact Agitator

EKATO FD/KD/HWL-A Compact Agitators are industrial agitators designed for open vessels and vessels operating under low pressure. This compact agitator family is used where process equipment requires agitation capability with a reduced overall height, modular construction and configuration flexibility for industrial mixing duties.

The FD, KD and HWL-A agitators are built for applications involving media with high solid contents and may be configured with EKATO high-efficiency impellers or conventional impellers, depending on the requirements of the process.

Available design details include flat or bevel gearbox drive versions, massive or hollow shaft construction, divisible shaft with flange coupling, and mounting by flange or plate.

For applications involving abrasive or corrosive products with high solid contents, the FD/KD/HWL-A family may be available with a compact sealing lantern and rubber-coated shafts and impellers, including examples such as flue gas desulfurization or ore processing.

Additional sealing and bearing-related options include strengthened gearbox bearing, steady bearing, V-ring, shaft seal ring, water seal, safety labyrinth seal and stuffing box.
