OMEGA Thermo Products clamp-on heat exchangers are tank heating and cooling jackets designed for use with existing tanks, vessels, and similar process equipment where external heat transfer is preferred.
These assemblies use OMEGA Laser Plate technology and are positioned on the outside of the tank, allowing heating or cooling to remain physically separated from the product inside the vessel. This configuration may be useful when a process requires temperature control without welding directly to the existing vessel or replacing the tank.

Clamp-on plates are first welded as flat Laser Plates, then rolled and inflated into the required shape for the tank or equipment surface. OMEGA offers single embossed and double embossed clamp-on plate configurations, with double embossed plates commonly used for tank clamp-on jackets. Heat transfer mastic may be used between the clamp-on jacket and tank surface to help address the air gap created by the pillowed plate shape.

Each tank clamp-on plate is custom-made, with requirements reviewed based on the intended heating or cooling duty, tank placement, selected medium, and material needs.
