Process Controls Corporation - L&J Technologies

The L&J Technologies 94407 Horizontal Inline Deflagration Flame Arrester is designed for gas piping systems where flame propagation control is required in vapor service.

This Shand & Jurs product is configured for horizontal installation and supports inline deflagration arrester applications involving flammable vapors.

Process Controls Corporation - L&J Technologies 94407 Horizontal Inline Deflagration Flame Arrester

The 94407 features a spiral-wound crimped ribbon element around a solid core. Its horizontal configuration helps reduce the potential for liquid accumulation within the arrester assembly, distinguishing it from vertical inline models, end-of-line products, free vents, conservation vents, and combination vent/arrestor designs.

For service access, the unit includes removable tie-bolts and jack screws that allow the body sections to be expanded so the element can be removed for inspection or maintenance. This makes the 94407 suitable for piping layouts where access to the internal arrester assembly is an important part of system planning.

Standard body materials include cast aluminum, cast iron, ductile iron, cast steel, 304 stainless-steel, and 316 stainless-steel. Standard element materials include 304 stainless-steel and 316 stainless-steel, with additional alloy options available for highly corrosive applications. Available sizes range from 2” through 12” with flat face or raised face flange options for ANSI, EN1092, or JIS connections.

Process Controls Corporation can help industrial facilities evaluate the L&J Technologies 94407 for horizontal piping orientation, flange requirements, material selection, service access, and project-specific tank protection needs.
