The Shand & Jurs Model 94140 Spring Loaded Pressure Relief Vent is used on liquid storage tanks where controlled pressure relief is required.

Designed for open vent or closed vent arrangements, the Model 94140 helps manage tank pressure by relieving excess pressure through an atmospheric opening or connected vapor control system.

Unlike vacuum vents, emergency vents, flame arresters, or deflagration arresters, the Model 94140 is specifically a spring-loaded pressure relief vent.

Its spring-loaded design supports higher pressure settings than weight-loaded vent designs, making it suitable for storage tank applications where pressure relief requirements exceed standard weight-loaded configurations.

Available in 2” through 12” sizes, the Model 94140 is offered in aluminum, cast iron, cast steel, and 316 stainless steel construction. Standard seat options include aluminum and 316 stainless-steel, with flange configurations available based on selected material and size.

The vent includes a guided pressure pallet, diaphragm construction, and inspection access to support installation, operation, and maintenance needs. An Expanda-Seal option is also available for the pressure pallet.
