Absolute Coalescing Separators are used for gas separation and filtration applications where liquid droplet removal and process conditioning are required.
These separators are designed as single- or multi-stage devices and use a primary separation section with cyclone or vane-style separation, followed by high-efficiency coalescing elements.
The primary stage removes bulk entrained liquid and solid particles through centrifugal force and gravity before the gas stream reaches the coalescing elements.

The separator configuration may include an intrinsic two-stage arrangement, flexible primary-stage separator designs, multiple closure configurations, coalescing media options, and a liquid sump. The final coalescing section is designed to address fine liquid mist that remains after the primary separation stage. As gas and mist pass through the coalescing elements, droplets collect on the element surfaces and drain into the liquid collection area before the gas exits through the outlet nozzle.
