Process Controls Corporation - Burgess-Manning

Burgess-Manning vent silencers are used to control noise created when pressurized gases are vented to atmosphere.

These silencers are commonly applied to relief valves, safety valves, control valves, and start-up valves in industrial systems where steam, natural gas, air, hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, or mixed gases may be released through venting or blowdown operations.

Process Controls Corporation (PCC) offers Burgess-Manning vent silencers for facilities that need an engineered acoustic solution for pressurized gas venting applications.

Process Controls Corporation - Burgess-Manning Vent Silencers

Burgess-Manning identifies vent silencers for use in steam boilers, HRSGs, gas compressing stations, FPSOs, oil and gas facilities, chemical processing plants, and other industrial environments where compressed gases are used.

Vent silencer designs may be standard, modular, custom, or commissioning-based depending on the service conditions and project requirements. Available configurations may include single or multiple inlet diffusers, absorptive packs, flanged or butt-weld connections, support options, bird screens, rain caps, roof passages, drains, restrictive orifices, or other accessories when specified for the application.

To support proper selection, PCC can help customers gather and review the information typically required for a vent silencer quote, including fluid type, flow rate, valve upstream pressure and temperature, inlet diameter, allowable pressure drop, and required silenced noise level or attenuation.
