PINK VSDI vacuum drying ovens with isolators are designed for drying applications that require the combination of vacuum drying technology and enclosed product handling.

The VSDI configuration combines a VSD vacuum drying oven with an isolator to support drying of highly active or toxic substances in test centers, laboratories, and production environments where protective measures are required for both the operator and the product. The VSDI system uses vacuum and heat as the drying principle.

The system works as a containment solution consisting of an isolator, vacuum drying oven, lock chamber, and RTP in each unit. Product insertion and removal options may include RTPs, main and lock chambers, and endless hose systems, depending on the configuration. The system also includes filter systems for incoming and outgoing air with pressure control, with filter removal from inside the isolator.

For applications requiring careful product handling inside the isolator, the VSDI incorporates a special VSD door design for ergonomic working access. The VSD doors turn 180 degrees to support cleaning and visual inspection of the front and back. A HEPA filter upstream of the vacuum connectors helps protect the vacuum system from contamination, with filter removal also handled from inside the isolator.
