As part of EKATO’s agitator product range, the MD/SD series supports flexible use in process vessel applications that require an atmospheric operating design rather than a pressurized-vessel agitator, reactor agitator, compact agitator, coaxial system, magnetic safety agitator, or side-entry configuration.
The MD/SD agitator line can be supplied with a motor connection through an IEC adapter or with a gear motor, depending on the equipment configuration. Standard design options include a drive version that is directly driven by the motor or used together with a helical gearbox and gear pin. Available motor power is listed from 0.37 to 7.5 kW, with shaft diameters from 25 to 40 mm.
For process-contacting components, the MD/SD series is listed with material options that include carbon steel, rust- and acid-resistant steels, nickel-base alloy, Duplex and Super Duplex steels, titanium and titanium alloys, rubber coatings, and other coatings.
EKATO high-efficiency impellers and conventional impellers are identified as available impeller-system categories for the MD/SD agitator family. Possible seal options include a V-ring, shaft seal ring, and safety labyrinth seal. Approvals listed for this agitator family include ATEX 2014/34/EU and GOST TR-ZU 010/2011.
