Reotemp Overpressure Gauge Protectors are designed to help protect instrumentation from overpressure conditions caused by unexpected pressure spikes.
As pressure rises, the internal spring is compressed until a piston closes the process connection from the instrument.
Once pressure reduces beyond 25% of the set pressure, the valve reopens and the instrument returns to normal operation.

This makes the Overpressure Gauge Protector a practical accessory for applications where pressure spikes could expose gauges or other instruments to excessive pressure.
